TUWALEE Project is a five-month project from (January 2022 to May 2022) implemented by Rafiki-SDO In collaboration with Women Fund Tanzania – Trust, to increase awareness on parenting skills and practices in families and community to reduce the risks and incidences of violence against women and children in Shinyanga DC. This project is implemented in Two wards of Shinyanga DC; Ilola and Usule. This project has three intervention which are Junior council, groups of parents and caregiver and fatherhood parleys. Junior councils is a platform for children to discuss their rights and challenges and create solutions toward prevention of abuses surrounding them through demanding their rights, holding duty bearers accountable; children will be confident after knowing their rights, duties and responsibilities since junior council as a platform will built rooms for them discuss with families, community and themselves on challenges and abuses and how they will tackle them.

2021

TUWALEE project is a four-month project implemented by Rafiki-SDO in collaboration with Women Fund Tanzania – Trust the aim-built awareness on parenting skills and practices in families and community to reduce the risks and incidences of violence against women and children in Shinyanga DC. This project is implemented in two wards of Shinyanga DC; Pandagichiza and Mwamala.

The main goal is to increase parenting skills, family support and relationship. Also enhance children participation in decision making, demanding their rights and holding duty bearers accountable, through Junior councils, groups of parents and caregiver and male dialogues sessions in fatherhood parleys.
